Pork and chicken bones build the body; layered seafood adds the aroma. Rich but never heavy — a broth you can drink to the bottom.

If it's your first visit
A slow-simmered pork-and-chicken bone broth layered with seafood umami, served with thick angle-cut whole-wheat noodles. The signature bowl of the house — finish it with soup-wari to drink the broth to the last drop.
Gyokai Tonkotsu Tsukemen¥1,000
Not into dipping noodles? Try gyokai-tonkotsu ramen instead.
Prefer something less fishy? Aburi-tonkotsu ramen is your bowl.
Lighter still? Classic tonkotsu, shoyu, shio and miso ramen are all on the menu.
Weaving flavor, one bowl at a time
Our craft at Menya Asahi
Pork and chicken bones build the body; layered seafood adds the aroma. Rich but never heavy — a broth you can drink to the bottom.
Thick, angle-cut noodles kneaded with whole-wheat flour. Substantial enough to hold their own against our pork-seafood dip, with the fragrance of real wheat.
Born from a seafood izakaya. Aji-fry, maguro-katsu, ebi-katsu — a full lineup of seafood fritters. Perfect for an evening drink and a few bites.

A new dawn for Asahi, weaving the noren forward
"Sushi Kaisen Sakaba Asahi" (formerly Asahi-zushi) has stood on this spot for generations, beloved by the neighborhood. In April 2026, the founder's sons took over the noren and reopened as a ramen shop — a new chapter, the same family.
Drawing on the seafood expertise inherited from the previous shop, the brothers set out to make a bowl you'd want to come back for every day. Like the morning sun (朝日 / asahi) over Honjo, here to bring a little warmth to your day.
